As a Business Development Manager, the general role will be responsible for expanding business and sales for the Managed IT Department.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key customers throughout the service area.
The position will be tasked with identifying and securing new business opportunities through the creation, implementation and execution of a targeted sales and marketing plan, that aligns with the strengths, capabilities, goals and objectives of Pillar Innovations.
The candidate will lead and direct a growth plan while representing the core values Pillar innovations.
The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Assistant Division Manager of Morgantown.
The position will require travel, site visits and face-to-face customer meetings and contacts.
Most of the travel is expected to be day travel with minimal out-of-town and overnight required.
The Business Development Manager will be expected to possess an extensive knowledge of the services within Managed IT Services and successfully market and sell these services to prospective customers.
The Business Development Manager will serve as a primary customer contact and demonstrate a working knowledge of estimating, procurement, and project management.
The Business Development Manager will share in the responsibility of ensuring that customer quotes are accurate, complete, and well presented.
The Business Development Manager will also be responsible to develop the composition of the Managed IT team, skill levels needed, and overall architecture of the department.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for interviewing and hiring additional department resources to adequately staff the team for the current workload and future development.
The Business Development Manager will be a core asset to the Managed IT Team, serving in a leadership role for projects and department development.

years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Networking Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field Strong fundamental knowledge of networking architecture and system operations Proven analytical ability and demonstrated leadership competencies Experience with Industrial s and architecture Strong experience with Routers/Switches, Wireless, Firewall and Security VMWare experience is required Strong skills on TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, SMTP, Web Technologies, Security tools and Firewalls policies Windows desktop, Linux, and server operating systems Experience with database queries and basic database Proficient with MS Office productivity software Ability to efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals Ability to balance multiple tasks Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in team environments Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environment Excellent leadership and mentoring skills Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with customers, with an aptitude to answer technical questions in a simplified manner Able to work a flexible schedule and adjust to changing business needs including possible emergency call-out, extended hours and some out-of-town and overnight work Working Conditions Walk / use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl / kneel Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted Perform duties on-site and underground at industrial locations Required to wear safety equipment:
as per OSHA requirements including but not limited steel toed and/or metatarsal shoes, hard hat, lanyard, fire retardant, protective eye wear, etc.
